Residential interior design in Las Vegas
Judy Burrell studied Interior Design at California State University, Long Beach, and spent most of her career at May Department Stores, Barneys New York and Williams-Sonoma before starting JB Custom Design.
Her interior design work covers the parts of a room that aren't cabinetry: colour, wallpaper, feature walls, tile, lighting and furniture. Because she also builds the cabinetry, the whole room is planned as one piece, from foundation to furniture.

Bathroom and backsplash tile, stone and countertops.

One plan carried out room by room to suit the budget, as with a Henderson family now heading into their fifth phase.

Interior design: questions homeowners ask
Do you only design, or do you also build?
Both. Judy is an interior designer and a cabinet maker, so the person choosing the colours and materials also designs the cabinetry that goes with them.
Can we do our home in phases?
Yes. Many clients work with Judy over several projects. One Henderson family started with the kitchen, then moved to bathrooms, a playroom and a guest room, with more phases planned.
Do you work with other designers?
Yes. Judy builds specialty pieces for other designers' clients, such as solid oak shelves and herringbone-inlay beech vanities made with Kelly Parrish Designs.
What happens at the first meeting?
A 90-minute meeting at your home about your style, your budget and your time frame. From there you get creative visuals to see the options and make edits.
