A recent client wanted a living space for their 2 Shih Tzus in which they could be kept when the clients were away, but also a space that was comfortable for the pups that didn’t feel like a cage. The kennel needed to have a comfortable space for the pups to eat, sleep, and pee: their own little pup mansion. The clients also wanted a matching gate to keep the pups in one part of the house for when they were roaming free.

One problem we found was that we couldn’t just use a hinge as a closing mechanism as these pups are smart and could nose it open. We went with a latch lock closure to ensure they were safely locked in and couldn’t escape when the client was away.

What Did We Do?

The looks on Sadie & Joey’s face when they got to finally enjoy their new home was priceless. These pups got a pup mansion that not only coordinated with the clients home & decor, but also included ample space for both of them to be comfortable while being kept safe when their persons were away. Complete with a large door for entry & exit, a cozy bed, and eating and relief area. The top even opens for their person to maintain the space!
