Where can you create a casual dining space? How can you make it feel cohesive with the house while in an adjacent area? What is a banquette?
A client recently reached out needing design help with their kitchen & dining space. They needed to add additional seating separate from their dining area while keeping the design cohesive with the kitchen and other areas that were part of this remodel.
The problem was that this additional seating area wasn’t directly adjacent to the dining area and it was somewhat dark and outdated. They also wanted to lighten up the space through a unique and updated design.
What Did We Do?
Completely transformed this corner of the house! Built & installed banquette seating from poplar & table in poplar and finished with a clear coat, we wanted this to feel like it was built into this space. Had a custom bench cushion & pillows made to coordinate with the colors & design in the kitchen. Designed & supported with material selection for the kitchen & coffee nook as well.
At the finish of several rooms of this home being updated, the client had a unique dining space with additional seating for their family that was cohesive with the adjacent kitchen and coffee nook.
Do you desire to update the dining space in your home with a unique design? If so, you’re not alone. There are many ways to reinvent an area with an updated & functional design for your family and dining needs.
