A client recently reached out to us because he wanted a new contemporary look for his kitchen and fireplace. He wanted them to blend with his style and make the space look and feel more open for gathering his family and hosting friends.
The problem with his large kitchen was that the traditional cabinets, dark granite and ledger stone backsplash made the room feel dark and small. And, although the fireplace was large, it felt overwhelming with the molded stone that projected out into the living space.
What Did We Do?
We reinvented the kitchen with new cabinet doors and trim, brushed quartz counters, and a light and bright marble mosaic to brighten the space. Finally, we painted the cabinets for a truly updated look.
For the fireplace, we removed the large stone mantle, replaced the old gas insert with a streamlined glass-enclosed insert and updated it with a custom mantle.
Within just a few weeks, our client had the home he’d always wanted. His space was transformed into a warm, contemporary space to spend quality time with his family and entertain his friends in time for the Superbowl.
